Burger King

When you think of burger king you think of a fast food chain in competition with McDonalds when in actual fact you couldn’t be further from the truth. The reports of Burger king’s revenue are becoming increasingly low due to McDonalds becoming larger and larger (like its visitors ;)). I will show you a bar chart below of just what I mean about low and how really burger king is no match for the food giant that is McDonalds. But enough about stats and profits let’s move onto the food itself. This bar chart has no numbers but you can see the pattern forming.

The famous double bacon cheese burger contains 520 calories which Is ¼ of your daily recommended intake for a grown male. It also contains 31g of fat which is 49% of your recommended intake. This is before adding on the drink, fries and other various sides. After all that there is not much space left for other foods throughout the day. Referring to the chart again in 2013 we see a dramatic fall in revenue and this is also the year when the chain admitted to using horse meat in their burgers. The contamination came from the Irish based company Silvercrest which is part of the ABP food group.
